This piece I did years ago hit hard for me today as I heal from a rotator cuff tear and am unable to lift my left arm (for now). I had taken a photo of my hands and then traced and painted them onto the canvas above the passionate background. Looking at my own outstretched, almost pleading hands, made me realize how much I take that posture for granted. But further than that, it made me question the posture of my heart. No matter what may limit me physically, the posture of my heart can always have oustretched arms reaching out for divine intervention.
